BRIAN JAMES RIEDEL - "Insanity Meth" (2014)

Guzanos' bassist and underground artiste extraordinaire Brian James Riedel made this CD a couple of years ago titled "Insanity Meth."
It contained 22 cool instrumentals "made entirely with Apple Garageband."

Released on Brian's own "Fab Ion" label, there are a lot of different styles to choose from.
 Here's just one!
The Brain just also recently sent me a link to a video he made to go along with another rockin' song he did that I thought was also on this CD, but isn't.

Here's Brian James Riedel and "Jimi-Changa"
I'll take an order to go, Thank-You!!

ACTIONS ANT'ERIEURES - Various Artists Compilation (1989)

"actions ant'erieures" is a 1989 French various artists compilation tape that we appeared on that I can not find my copy of. Not only that, I don't really have much other information, because even though it was usually me who did it, Gary was the one who made the submissions on this tape.

The funny thing is I still have the cover. The tape must have been left in a machine somewhere.
Besides us there were three other sets of musicians on this tape. The first was Dan and the Destroys from Paris with only one song.

I also don't know who made the drawing of us, because it doesn't look like either Gary or Brian's artwork. I also am not familiar with any song we did called "I'm Invisible."
We had a total of six songs on this tape.

BRUME also from France contributed seven songs!

And....Styve Paddington from Belgium also only had one song.

EUGENE CHADBOURNE - "Rake Vs. Plunger Megadeath" (1987)

One of my favourite, albeit almost unlistenable tapes came from the amazing Eugene Chadbourne of Greensboro, North Carolina. Eugene can play normal music, but sometimes he just likes to experiment and have fun! It sure makes me laugh!
You can check out the massive volumes of his work, and what he's up to some 30 years later on his website....
 "The House Of Chadula."

In December of 1987 I sent Eugene the 57th copy I had of "The Worm's Turn," and he wrote back and said it was cool, and that,
"There's an Army of us out there!"

This handmade tape is what he cordially sent me in return!
Here's a short excerpt from that tape! Frank Zappa would have loved it! Enjoy!

THE EASTER MONKEYS - "Happy Easter" (1990)

The first time Malcolm Ryder of Sosumi sent me a cassette, he filled up side two with music by another now legendary local Cleveland band,  The Easter Monkeys!
Here's an article I found from 2010 that explains a lot about The Easter Monkeys!
There wasn't a track list included so you're on your own. That article says they were big fans of local Cleveland horror host Ghoulardi, and this song is about monster movies and Ghoulardi and probably would be better suited for Halloween, but.......!
"HAPPY EASTER MONKEYS"

SOSUMI - "This Is Supposed To Be Fun" (1990)

"This Is Supposed To Be Fun" is one of my favorite songs from the last 30 years, and I concept I try and live my life by every day!
Take that, and couple it with a Cleveland band with one of the greatest names of all time,
SOSUMI......
....then add this sticker you're gawkin' at, and you might just get a feeling for what the 80's and 90's were like for me! This song was later released on CD!

MARK HANLEY - "Blood City Abatoir" (1988)

Sister Ray guitarist Mark Hanley was always one of my favorite musicians to trade with. Mark made a lot of tapes, and each and every one of them was interesting!

Mark's music can be kind of dark and brooding, and this title sounds pretty menacing, but he was always the nicest guy in the world to me!

BOX O' PUSSY - "Dancing In Shit" (1992)

The cassette scene of the 80's and 90's didn't have any boundaries, so you never knew what you might find in your mailbox. I traded or gave away over 400 copies of our first tape, so I don't exactly remember, how or why I ended up with this tape. I tried to keep track of this stuff back in the day, but you know how that goes!
They called it "Box O' Pussy - "Dancing In Shit" and as you can see it came with a fake parental advisory sticker. I guess they were looking to get some attention! I never was able to get into this tape, I just didn't fit! Don't blame me! I'm just the archivist! You're welcome to your own opinion!
It's not what you think!

GODSPUNK VOLUME SIXTEEN - Various Artists Compilation CD (2016)

pStan Batcow has been pumfing out these "Godspunk" various artists compilations  on his Pumf Records label since 2003!
This was Volume Sixteen! They are now up to nineteen!
pStan is without a doubt, one of the hardest workin' guys in show business!

Here's a catchy little tune from a trio with the coolest name I've heard lately, that all the kids around the world would be dancing to, if there was a real world!
