HOW'S BAYOU - "Two Step De Maman" (1987)

In 1987, I got this cool Cajun tape from a Seattle band with one of the greatest play on words for a band name called How's Bayou called "New Melody Stomp!"

Here's Mike Bristow on Bass, Karen England on Fiddle,  Ben Lang playing percussion, Dave Lang on Accordion and lead vocals, and Paul Mooney on Guitar and Harmony Vocals with

"Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

THE SATELLITES OF LOVE - "Quite Happy" (1988)

I really wish there was some way I could generate more interest in this site, because some of the music that was produced on cassette in the 80's and 90's was really good, and the German band Satellites Of Love featuring Micha, Bogdan, Rubin, and Bheila is a good example! Here's two songs from their 1988 release "Quite Happy!" It might just make you quite happy!!

THE RUDY SCHWARTZ PROJECT - "Bowling For Appliances" (1987)

If you like your music to be intelligent, witty and humorous all at the same time, then Joe Newman is your guy! Nothing's safe on this 1987 "Ratscum" release titled "Bowling For Appliances" out of Austin, Texas! The cover art was done by the great underground artiste Roy Tompkins, who has also done some collaborations with Guzanos guitarist Gary Wray!

Get ready for The Rudy Schwartz Project - "Lynyrd Skynyrd Memorial Tractor Pull"

I just found out you can buy an extended version of this tape, but with different cover art in either CD or MP3 form at Amazon, so what are you waiting for?

CARRION DOG - "poor man's 4-track tape" (1989)

Here they are, the one and only Carrion Dog from Washington D.C.!  This 1989 release features Jason on vocals, John on guitars, and Chris on Bass! Here's a fine song titled "Wicked Dick!"
I always liked these guys for several reasons and one of them was because they sent me a bottle of Dos Gusanos Mescal!
