What a life! In a matter of a couple of days, Tom Verlaine dies and DFO releases their long awaited new album.
Lord Litter joined Das Freie Orchester on November 9th, 1989. It was the day the wall came down in Berlin separating East Germany from West Germany, and they never looked back!
You can buy "Debüt und Abschied" directly from their label NCR MUSIC.
The original members of the DFO were Bärbel Willner, Jörg Thomasius, Didier Leboz as Dieter Zobel, Gui Gust and Carsten Spindler, but by 1990 Thomasius and Willner had left the band, and Lord Litter had joined. The band continued until 1992 when they broke up.
They've gone their separate ways over the years, but are back together now stronger than ever, with a current lineup of Gui Gust on drums, Carsten Spindler on bass, & masophon, Juergen Koenig on keyboards, Didier Leboz on guitar, sounds, mixing, production, with Lord Litter providing words and vocals.
