HOW'S BAYOU - "Two Step De Maman" (1987)

In 1987, I got this cool Cajun tape from a Seattle band with one of the greatest play on words for a band name called How's Bayou called "New Melody Stomp!"

Here's Mike Bristow on Bass, Karen England on Fiddle,  Ben Lang playing percussion, Dave Lang on Accordion and lead vocals, and Paul Mooney on Guitar and Harmony Vocals with

"Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

  3. It's because they played the New Melody Tavern in Seattle quite a bit. That venue changed hands and became the Tractor Tavern in '94. Been a key music joint ever since (as was the Neew Melody in its day).

Heck, I recorded a How's Bayou set in there once.
