this is r.n. 3 part one

This is one of those kinds of tapes that I can't remember a thing about, and it has absolutely no information on the tape or the sleeve besides what you see here.
There are no dates, no names, and no song titles.
It sounds like somebody had a drum machine and a Casio sampler keyboard and was having a whole lot of fun with it, and there's nothing wrong with that!

ALEXANDER BARON BAND - "No Pigeonholes #158 (1989)

Don Campau is like an indie music superhero! He along with Lord Litter have done more to promote independent music over the last 35 years than anybody else that I know of, and there should be a shrine to him somewhere, in fact, he is the real person who should have been voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Not only is he a musician, but he has unselfishly promoted 100's if not 1000's of musicians and artistes over the years, and is living proof that not all Dons are Dicks!

Don produced a radio show for years called "No Pigeonholes," and that's exactly what it was!
This was a tape of the show from May 28, 1989.
There were no borders or boundaries, and here's just a taste for you! This song was taken from a UK various artists compilation call "Eh?"
According to the Songfacts website, "Paranoia" was composed by Alexander Baron and arranged by Alan Barber. It was commissioned from a professional studio who re-interpreted the Barber arrangement, and credited it to the non-existent Alexander Baron Band."
Other than that, I could find no other information!
The place you need to go to find out anything else you need to know about "No Pigeonholes" is

T.O.G. Sampler Cassette - "Primal Virtue" (1992)

I don't remember exactly, and I can't find my old correspondence right now, but I think I received this tape from T.O.G. Studios to show us what they had going on at their studio, just in case we needed a recording studio, but I can't even remember what part of the country it was in, but there was a phone number on the tape and I looked up the area code, and it was from the state of Virginia. 28 years later, an Internet search only comes up with a TOG Studios in England, so I am assuming they are no longer in business. With all the home studio tapes I got, this one that was recorded in a real music studio stood out of the crowd in production values, but alas, I don't see that any of the groups on here got much further than this.

I did find this T.O.G. Studios CD on Discogs from the same year called "Unsigned Sounds," and it has at least 3 or 4 of the same groups but there really wasn't much information to go along with it.
The artists on this tape are Marty Connell, District Authority, The Fenster Project, The Fusion Hackers, Toxic Armpit, and my favorite..........

Chris and Ed have been on a tear the last couple of months, and this is their third release since September 24th! Amazing, and even more amazing, they just keep getting better, and if you don't believe me, then check it out for yourself!!

GODSPUNK VOLUME 21 (2020)

The latest in the Godspunk series of compilation CDs from Pumf Records is Volume Twenty-One, which was released in mid to late 2020, and as always, it's a fine effort no doubt, with a lot of the same players, but you never know what hats these guys are going to wear, so it's full of surprises!

This CD has got a lot of good stuff on it! It's just as festive as this photo, and it was difficult picking out just one song, but after multiple listenings, I finally made up my mind on which one to share with you!

The bands listed as being on the CD are UNIT, Nil by Nose, Lettuce Vultures, the taurus board, Satanik Seagvll Sekt, Howl in the Typewriter, Harsh Noise Movement, The Large Veiny Members, and my new fave, some guys who really know what country music is supposed to sound like.....
I have to admit that with all that's going on today, I really should have played "Where Eagles Dare Not" by Lettuce Vultures, but you're just gonna have to buy it to hear that one, and you can do that right here!
And while you're there, tell pStan Batcow I sent you!
