I have to admit something, I'm "Beat Crazy," and it doesn't matter the origin of the music. If it's from Africa, Brazil, Jamaica, Britain, Germany, The U.S, India, or anywhere else, as long as it has a beat and moves like the music on this 1980 album by Joe Jackson, then I'm in!

Back in the late '70s/early '80s Joe Jackson & Elvis Costello were often lumped together as "angry young men" with immense, eclectic talents. There was no denying the similarities in the way they started out, but in the end, for me Joe was just the more wild of the two, eagerly experimenting with all kinds of genres and showing off his piano and arranging skills with all of them.
