NRBQ aka the New Rhythm And Blues Quartet have never gotten the attention they deserved. They made some great music as this 1969 self-titled album undoubtedly proves, and here's a song that's as classic as a rock and roll song can be.
NRBQ should have been huge. That being said, they've had a long career as a Cult Favorite band who puts out great, low-key albums. (Trivia question: did you know that Joey Sampinato, a founding member of NRBQ was married to Skeeter ("The End of the World") Davis for roughly 10 years in the late '80s through the mid-'90s? What a world we live in!
