BIG STAR - "#1 Record" (1972)

What can I possibly say about Alex Chilton and Big Star? I don't know but I'll tell you this, Alex liked to make loose and sloppy music, it was just fun for him I guess, but here's a song that proves how talented he and the band Big Star really were.
From their first album in 1972 titled "#1 Record,"
here's a gorgeous little tune!

  1. Although Big Star are rightly considered one of the founding fathers of Power Pop (along with Badfinger & The Raspberries), this beautiful song is proof that Big Star wasn't only about big guitars and big hooks, and that a sweetly chiming acoustic guitar backing and Beatlesque background vocals can do the job all by themselves, especially when set to teenage angst.
