BILLY BRIGGS - "Chew Tobacco Rag" (1951)

Forgive me for this one, but this song by Billy Briggs from 1951 is just something everyone needs to hear at least once.
It's so goofy, it's contagious!
Billy Briggs was from Fort Worth, Texas, and was mainly a steel guitarist.
Just in case you can't get enough, there's a Part Two of this song too that you can easily find on youTube.

  1. When I moved from a city where the 6th grade boys would smoke in the bathroom, to a small town in 7th grade, the small town boys chewed tobacco. Though I tried it a few times, I'm glad I never picked it up. I never smoked, or even tried that.

  2. I've been around some guys who chewed tobacco, and it's a pretty disgusting habit.
