LOVE, CALVIN - "Portrait Of Flesh" (1989)

I got two tapes from Scott Johnson, aka Love, Calvin over the years, the first one was simply titled "Love, Calvin," and you can hear a cool song called "Break Down" from it right here, and the other one from 1989 was titled "Portrait Of Flesh." If I'm not mistaken I read somewhere that Scott had passed away, but from the looks of this Bandcamp page, he's doing okay, so go there and check out his whole catalogue!

  1. Scott Johnson died on May 3, 2008, at the age of 51. Last spring, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of his passing, I posted three Love, Calvin videos to YouTube: "Eskimo Kiss," "Robyn Hitchcock and Some Other Guy," and "Gay Bar." Be sure to use the song title in the search line, or else everything for a singer named Calvin Love with pop up.

  3. I never met your grandpa in person, but we sure wrote a few times, and I always felt like he had a great sense of humor.
